The island of New Guinea is an exciting place to be a biologist.  It is one of the greatest, most biologically diverse, wilderness areas on the planet and opportunities for adventure and exploration abound.  In addition to the exciting flora and fauna, New Guinea is also home to some of the most diverse and colorful cultures in the world and home to 1/6th of the world’s languages.

Below are some photos from the various localities I’ve traveled to since 1999.   To date, I’ve gone on 16 major expeditions covering most of major regions of New Guinea.  In addition,  I’ve visited several of these places repeatedly over the years.
